The PSN network outrage was the result of a hack. Personal details from approx. 77 million people were stolen. This prevented them from playing online games. The attack happened april 17th - 19th 2011 . This caused Sony to shut their network down for 24 down running a investigation. Many were outraged because it shouldnt have taken that long to invesigate.

The value of tracing is that it allows people to effectively draw an image without free-handing it. It essentially allows the average Joe to become a Michelangelo. It is also quicker to trace.
It is okay when it is either approved that you can copy it or it is used for nonprofit use.
You can get in trouble for it if you use someones work to make profit. 
I feel like we can copy in here because we essentially are putting the work in and not making a profit by selling the artwork.
